BenchMark Physical Therapy Opens May River Outpatient Clinic

Located at 2600 May River Xing, Suite 200, the new clinic operates 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; and 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday and Friday. BenchMark offers in-clinic and telehealth options for outpatient orthopedic physical therapy, including manual therapy, injury prevention, return to performance, total joint replacement, concussion management and vestibular rehabilitation programs. Clinic director Sue Pearson has more than 30 years of physical therapy and athletic training experience, the latter including the 1996 Olympics and the U.S. women’s national soccer team. She has been an adjunct professor at the College of Charleston and Charleston Southern for more than 20 years. Pearson is a certified strength and conditioning specialist and is trained in trigger point dry needling, kinesiotaping, athletic taping and strapping. She earned a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from the Medical University of South Carolina and a master’s degree in athletic training from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
